The purpose of this consultation is to provide information to the relevant parties on the draft Cumulative Impact Assessment report for the Baganuur Coal Mine region, to discuss and obtain comments from them, and to incorporate, improve and finalize possible proposals into the draft report.
This discussion was held on June 25 and 26, 2019 among relevant governmental and non-governmental organizations, ministries, enterprises, professional research organizations, and local people and herders. The discussion was attended by the Governor’s Offices of the soums and districts, the Capital City Environmental Department of the Governor’s Office, the Capital City Land Management, the Capital City Urban Development Department, rangers, the Kherlen River Basin Administration, Thermal Power Plants, Science Institutes, Schools, NGOs, civil society organizations, and stakeholders, such as local people and herders, need to be consulted.
